Yu, Joanna C., is Director of Executive Education for International Public Policy and Management Program (IPPAM), School of Policy, Planning and Development at University of Southern California (USC). She is also a resident consultant at RAND and a registered pharmacist specializing in comparative health insurance policy, fee scheduling, drug pricing management, and strategic planning in healthcare management.

Ms. Yu has served in health management at different government levels in Taiwan and been employed with the Federal Government’s Health Care System in New York. Ms. Yu has extensive experience working for both profit and not profit health insurance companies in the US.

Additionally, she has taught Health Insurance classes in China Medical College, Taiwan for five years, published more than 10 papers and authored one book. She works as a consultant in Taiwan and China, providing advice for government agencies, health care associations and hospitals focusing on health insurance and health care management issues.

Currently, she is head of academic marketing in the IPPAM program and teaches one module in the Development of Effective Groups and Organization course.

Ms. Yu got her BS in Public Health, China Medical University, MS in Health Care Planning and Management, University of Cincinnati and Ph.D. in Public Administration, University of Southern California (USC).
