Wang, Xiaochun, is Deputy Director-General of Shenzhen Bureau of Trade and Industry (SZBTI), an authority of Shenzhen Municipal Government which takes charge of trade, commerce, international business and industry development of the city.

Mr. Wang’s major responsibilities in SZBTI include foreign investment promotion, foreign economic cooperation and industrial planning. He also oversees Shenzhen overseas representative offices worldwide.

Mr. Wang’s working experiences are mainly in international trade and investment management area. Before he joined Shenzhen Municipal Government in 1997, he served as Director of Foreign Investment Promotion in Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Gansu Provincial Government, and Vice General Manager of Gansu Provincial Import and Export Trading Company respectively for several years. He also acted as General Manager of San Francisco based Longshan International, Inc., a subsidiary of Gansu Provincial Import and Export Trading Company from 1986 to 1989.

Mr. Wang got his BA in English Language from China Northwest Normal University in 1983, and MBA from Walter E. Heller College of Roosevelt University in 2002. Mr. Wang also got a certificate of Leaders in Development at Kennedy Government School of Harvard University.
