California - China Business Summit & Multi-Industry Trade Delegation

Los Angeles, CA, USA

May 9th, 2017

A trade delegation of around 150 Chinese business executives will be coming to Los Angeles for a California-China Business Summit being hosted as part of CHINAWEEK on May 9th.

The delegation, comprised of government officials in charge of trade and investment promotion and senior business executives from the agriculture, clean-tech, e-commerce, infrastructure, and other sectors, is the biggest of its kind organized by the China Provinces - California Joint Working Group on Trade and Investment Cooperation, a network established with China’s Ministry of Commerce and six provinces during California Governor Jerry Brown’s 2013 trade mission to Beijing.

This visit by the Chinese businesses presents good opportunities for California manufacturers, small and medium sized businesses, exporters and farmers, as well as for infrastructure planners and builders, to explore business opportunities and partners.

Information from early-bird members of the delegation indicates that the executives are looking forward to buying from and/or selling to California companies, investing in California and/or showcasing investment projects in China, seeking technical cooperation partners and project bidding opportunities, as well as e-commerce-related branding, warehousing and logistics partners, etc.

This year, the California-China Business Summit will have four breakout sessions on the subjects of clean-tech, agriculture, infrastructure, and e-commerce. In addition, there will be a luncheon plenary session on cross-border investment. Each breakout session will feature a panel discussion, an FDI project presentation, and a match-making session. Details of the summit program can be found at http://chinaweek.la/
